Olivia's Music Studio
Hi! I'm Olivia. I was born and raised in Cornwall, Ontario, and I currently live in Montréal. I grew up playing the violin and piano, singing in my church choir, teaching myself how to play and sing my favourite Taylor Swift songs (and later performing them for my family), and performing in local music festivals and talent shows.
I have been playing music and singing all my life, and as such, I am deeply passionate about the benefits of an education in music. I believe strongly that there is an artist in us all, and that music is for everyone. I have been teaching music for several years, and I would love to help you accomplish your goals, gain confidence, or simply try out something new! Whether you're an experienced musician looking to refine your skills or a complete beginner, I would love to be a part of your musical journey.
How I Teach
My professional training is as a singer, but I also teach lessons in violin, piano, and music theory. I adapt my teaching style to suit the needs and learning style of each student, and I strive to help students reach their unique goals. I have a strong knowledge of the vocal mechanism and human body, and I am always seeking to further my knowledge of musical and vocal pedagogy. Similarly, I encourage my students to strive for excellence in their artistic and musical pursuits, all while having fun and not taking themselves too seriously! I welcome students of all backgrounds in my studio and celebrate the diversity of experiences that continue to shape the musical community and the art we create. I am bilingual in English and French.
